Join Bruce McBarnette, '80, Class of '80, other Princeton alumni, and friends for Pizza and Light, Dec. 13 in Daly City. Bruce is organizing this event to celebrate his winning the World Masters Track and Field Championships for his age group in the high jump in Lyon, France in August.
We will meet at 1:30pm at Blue Line Pizza, 511 Westlake Ave, Daly City, CA 94015, 650-755-8500, in the Westlake shopping mall, which is a long walk from the Daly City BART station.
Bruce will pay for the pizza and everyone can pay for their own drink and other food.
At 3:30pm we will arrive at the Sukyo Mahikari Center, 1155 Junipero Serra Blvd, 415-337-0657, where Bruce has arranged for members of the center to radiate to us for free from the palm of their hands a relaxing, revitalizing form of energy called “light.” The Sukyo Mahikari Center is also a long walk from the Day City BART station.

Join Bruce McBarnette and the Rotary Clubs of Arlington for the 18th Annual Rotary Monte Carlo Night on FRIDAY, November 6, 2015. It will once again be at the beautiful Fairview Park Marriott. This black-tie optional evening of fun, food, excitement and prizes will again feature dancing to the wonderful 19 piece, The Loudon Jazz Ensemble.
Monte Carlo Night provides the funds that the Rotary Clubs of Arlington, McLean, Dunn Loring and Tysons Corner use to benefit civic projects as well as dozens of students through their academic scholarships and vocational assistance funds. This includes assisting the Alzheimer's Family Day Care Center, the Pimmit Hills Senior Center and Alternative House Teen Shelter as well as providing college scholarships for graduating high school students. Your support will make a real difference in the lives of children and senior citizens in Northern Virginia.

The Loudon Jazz Ensemble

You are invited to join Bruce McBarnette, Princeton alumni, Ivy Singles, Rotary Club members, and friends on a hike of a the Melvin C Hazen Park.
Bruce is organizing the hike to celebrate his being choosen for a community service award at Princeton University, his alma mater.
We will meet at the historic Pierce Mill at the intersection of Tilden Street and Rock Creek Parkway in Rock Creek Park, Washington, DC at 12pm. in Washington, DC. From the Van Ness Metro stop, walk south on Connecticut, take a left on Tilden and the Pierce Mill is a few hundred yards on the left. We will tour the Pierce Mill before we hike.
After the hike we visit the Washington DC Sukyo Mahikari center were we will enjoy pizza and refreshments and where some of us will receive a relaxing, revitalizing form of energy called “light” from Sukyo Mahikari practitioners.

April 26, Hike, Pizza, and Light, Soap Stone Valley Trail, Washington, DC, 12pm
Join Bruce McBarnette and friends on a hike of a the Soapstone Valley trail to the historic Pierce Mill in Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC.
After the hike we visit the Washington DC Sukyo Mahikari center were we will enjoy pizza and refreshments and where some of us will receive a relaxing, revitalizing form of energy called “light” from Sukyo Mahikari practitioners. Everything including the pizza is free.
We will meet at 12pm at the Entrance to the Soapstone Valley Trail which is on Albemarle Street near the intersection of Albermarle and 32nd Street, about 450 feet east of Connecticut Avenue., NW.
We will take the trail to Rock Creek and walk to Pierce Mill, a historic stone mill, and then return. The hike is about 2.4 miles and we should be done by 1:450pm.
After the hike, we will go to the Mahikari Center, which is around the corner from the entrance to the Soapstone Valley Trail. The Center's address is at 4479 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20008. The website is http://sukyomahikari.org

Join Audrey Kremer, Bruce McBarnette, and friends on a hike of a the Four Mile Run trail in Arlington, VA.
We will meet at 10am in Arlington. The address will be provided when you RSVP. The hike is 4 miles, mostly flat and paved. There is a frisbee golf area course along the way in case you want to play.
After the hike, around 12:30pm, we will enjoy a pot luck lunch. Audrey will provide vegan quinoa, tea, and coffee. During the lunch some of us will receive a relaxing, revitalizing form of energy called “light” from Sukyo Mahikari practitioners who will be joining us. Besides the pot luck item you bring, there is no cost.
