Oct. 16, Volunteer at a Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA) that feeds the homeless, 8:30am to 11am.
We will assemble boxes of food for Spiritual Food CSA 4209 East West Highway Chevy Chase, MD on Wed. Oct. 16, 8:30am to 11am.
Sales of these boxes helps the CSA provide food to the homeless and needy. We will work outdoors so dress for the weather. We will be working under a tent so rain is not a problem. The CSA is walking distance from the Bethesda Metro.

We will meet Bruce McBarnette, Princeton alumnus, at 9:45am in Emancipation Hall of the Visitor Center of the US Capitol, East Capitol Street NE and First Street SE, Washington, DC, 20004, which is near the Capitol South Metro Station. The tour begins at 10:10am. If you come after 10am we can not guarantee you admission even if you register. Look for signs that say "Princeton, Bruce McBarnette." The tour takes about an hour.
12:00pm to 2:00pm, we have arranged for our guests free “light energy” sessions at the Washington DC Center for Sukyo Mahikari, 4479 Connecticut Ave, NW, Washington, DC, 20008. Many people find the sessions to be relaxing and revitalizing.

Join Princeton alumnus Bruce McBarnette Rotary Club members, alumni from Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, Univ. of Pennsylvania, MIT, Stanford, Wellesley, Vassar, Johns Hopkins: ABPA; HBAS; Kennedy School, Thunderbird; and friends on a free hike from Potomac Overlook Park to the Potomac River and back.

This 2.5 mile hike is moderate to slightly challenging with several stream crossings and several fallen trees across the path. We will hear a brief presentation about the geological forces which create the area's interesting rock and bolder formations. We will see the remains of a Native American settlement and visit the park's nature center.
Bring water and good hiking shoes. Also bring insect repellent to protect against ticks.

The hike will be an easy to moderate 3 miles. Please bring water and footwear that supports your ankles. Guests must be 18 years of age or older.
Schedule -
10:30 AM: We will meet at the entrance to the Soap Stone Valley Trail that is very near the intersection of Albemarle Street and 32nd Street. We will hike for about 2 hours in Rock Creek Park.
12:30 PM: Visit to Sukyo Mahikari Center at 4479 Connecticut Ave., Washington, DC for complimentary light energy sessions. Many people find light energy to be relaxing and revitalizing.
2 PM: We will go to the Italian Pizza Kitchen (next door to the Sukyo Mahikari Center) for lunch following the energy sessions. Bruce McBarnette will provide some free pizza for the group. Each person will pay for whatever other refreshments he or she orders.
All of our meeting locations are all within a few blocks north of the Van Ness Metro stop on the Red Line.

9:30am we will meet at the front door to the Air and Space Museum, 600 Independence Ave, SW Washington,DC 20560, and hike around the National Mall for 50 minutes.
