Actor from Sterling Hosts Screen Actors Guild Award Art Reception

WASHINGTON, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bruce McBarnette, Esq., actor from Sterling, VA and Ingrid Parris-Hicklin hosted the Screen Actors Guild Awards Art Reception at the Embassy of Croatia in Washington, DC on Jan. 29, 2012. The art reception featured the work of artists Myra Maslowsky and Eloy Areu, as well as the televised broadcast from Hollywood of the Screen Actors Guild Awards Ceremony from Hollywood. The event benefited disaster victims in Japan.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards is an annual event where the Screen Actors Guild, the union of screen actors, gives awards for the top film performances of the year.
Event organizer, Bruce McBarnette, a member of the Screen Actors Guild, as well as president of Summit Connection LLC, said, "It was so wonderful that Vice Skracic the acting ambassador of the Embassy of Croatia, was willing to allow this event to be held at the Embassy of Croatia. It is such a beautiful venue." Bruce McBarnette, who has organized Screen Actors Guild Awards receptions for 14 years, has been in several movies and television shows but is best known for having won 9 world championships for his age group in track and field.
