Another golden jump for McBarnette
Sterling resident Bruce McBarnette produced the best high jump for men ages 60-64 at the 2018 USATF Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 17 at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Maryland.
McBarnette's top jump of 5 feet, 9 inches (1.76 meters) also set a world record for men ages 60-plus.
A member of the Potomac Valley Track Club, McBarnette claimed a national title for the 39th time.
His personal best in the high jump is 7 feet, 1 inch - set in 1984 at the Rutgers Relays.
