Loudoun High Jumper Wins USA Masters Title

Sterling resident Bruce McBarnette added to his long list of national championships at the 2017 USA Masters Track and Field Championships.
McBarnette cleared 5-feet, 7-inches to win the high jump title for men ages 55-plus July 13 at Louisiana State University.
McBarnette, a member of the Potomac Valley Track Club, also claimed a bronze medal in the triple jump. McBarnette has now won 38 national titles and 13 world championships in the high jump.
His personal record in the high jump is 7-1, set at the Rutgers Relays in 1984.
