Bruce McBarnette, an
attorney from Loudoun County, won the high jump event for men 50
and older at the World Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships
March 6 in Kamloops, Canada. His winning jump was just over 6 feet
(1.85 meters).
McBarnette has now won
eight world championships in his age group. He was named USA Track
and Field Athlete of the Year in 2008. McBarnette is a member of
the Potomac Valley Track Club.
